Purpose of Fall for Boise
- To promote and celebrate Boise's urban lifestyle and quality of life.
- To promote attendance at fall arts and community events.
- To build our regional and national image as a travel and relocation destination.
- To highlight the quality & diversity of our downtown business community in order to attract and retain businesses.
Marketing Targets
- Community – Our primary market for this effort is the Boise community. All efforts should reflect and be embraced by local art and cultural groups, community events and citizens.
- Visitors - Our secondary market is the regional and national traveler interested in Boise as a cultural destination.
Other Notes:
- Leadership – The first year's celebration is being led by the Downtown Boise Association with partnership from Boise City Arts Commission, the Mayor's office and assistance from Capital City Development Corporation. The potential exists to develop a separate non-profit entity for future years utilizing groups such as the Downtown Boise Association, Capital City Development Corporation, Boise City Arts Commission and the Mayor's Office, Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce and Boise Convention & Visitors Bureau.
- The only centralized activities should be leadership, planning, logistics, facilities and marketing.
- Fundraising – Money surpluses should be used to improve future Fall for Boise campaigns.
- Keep it simple/Build slowly – we want this campaign to be built to have a lasting legacy.
